About Me

I'm inspired by the little details that make every day beautiful. My shooting style is vintage inspired, casual, and romantic. Krista - Maternity

I met up with Krista and her family this Saturday morning at Yorktown Beach. To say that it was the coldest morning of the year isn't an exaggeration! It was a frigid 19 degrees, but we were able to get a few shots! Enjoy these images of this sweet family :)

Hudson - One Year Old

Hudson's mom, Sandra, contacted me a couple weeks ago to do his one year old portraits. We met up earlier this week at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens on what had to be the COLDEST day of the year so far! Hudson was such a trooper though and didn't let the cold keep him down. He was truly a joy to photograph :) How could you not love his adorable face?

More Crazy Weather

The weather here has been really unpredictable lately. Before this year snow was pretty rare, but now it seems as though there are flurries every other week as well as some pretty significant (a foot) snowfall.. Today was mostly cloudy except for ten minutes where flurries were thick and blizzard-esque. The snow stopped almost as suddenly as it started, at which time the sun came out. I can't imagine a more beautiful winter!

Just One...

Recognize these two? You might remember them from this post. I took this photo of Amy and her daughter Avery back in September. It was Avery's first day as a first grader. Her mom and I met her at the bus stop and I snapped this picture.

(I actually took this picture on our point and shoot camera, but I LOVE how it turned out)

District of Columbia

We went out to Washington, DC this past weekend to see a football game. Before the game we drove into the city and walked around for a little bit, browsing in some of the Smithsonian Museums. I was happy I had my camera with me because the District of Columbia has some of the most interesting architecture.
