Christina + Jason | Norfolk Engagement Photos

I met Christina in Norfolk a while back after she emailed me about photography. Immediately, I could tell she would be lots of fun to work with. We talked about photography for about ten minutes or so, then spent an hour chatting about weddings and random things. She's so easy to get along with and such a fun person to be around! Christina's fiance` Jason has just as enjoyable a personality. They have such good chemistry together and it's so easy to see the love they share. I'm sooo excited to share these photos. They made photography effortless!

And don't let me forget to mention Luke, Christina's son! He was shy at first, but warmed up and was soon modeling like a pro :)

Congratulations on your engagement guys!

Tara - Preview | Newport News Bridal Portraits

This past weekend I took some bridal portraits of my beautiful friend, Tara. You may remember Tara and her fiance` Dave from this post a little while ago. I'm soooo excited to share the images from her shoot...but you'll have to wait until after the 23rd to see those:) Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for Dave!

This particular preview features a hair flower I sewed for Tara out of chiffon and the engagement ring Dave lovingly chose for his bride.

Steffie + Mike | Yorktown Engagement Session - Part One

Last weekend, Steffie and Mike met me in historic Yorktown for an engagement session. The two of them are planning a summer wedding at the gorgeous Freight Shed, so they decided they wanted to do their pics nearby. The afternoon they chose for their session was beautiful!

I really enjoyed working with Steffie and Mike, The two of them are adorable together :) I can't wait to shoot their beach themed wedding this August!

Lacy + Andy - New Kent Winery Engagement Session

Lacy and Andy recently got engaged at the beautiful New Kent Winery. They decided they wanted their engagement pictures there as well. Although the weather was crazy (pouring one minute and blindingly sunny the next) Lacy and Andy still managed to look adorable and get some great shots around the winery :)By spending time around the two of these guys...you can truly tell how much in love they are, and how excited they are to get married. I had such a great time doing their photos! I especially enjoyed the tasting we did before the shoot, while the weather was still bad.

Lacy is an elementary school teacher, so we incorporated some apples into their session. Their dogs, Bella and Tank, also joined us for a few photos towards the end :)

I have some pretty cool news to share!!

I’ve been working on it for a while now and am excited to announce

DRUMROLL…

I have a website!

website pic

You’ll still find all of my latest work and random musings here, but the website is a great place to get a feel for my style and see my best work. I designed the site myself and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! I'm in love the simple gray background (my favorite color!!) and the fun font choices. Coincidentally, the bolder of the two fonts used is named Lucy, like my daughter *ahem* beloved ginger tabby cat.

Please check out the website and let me know what you think J Pretty soon I’ll be unveiling a couple more new things so stay tuned!

Jerri + Mark

This past weekend, I met up with Jerri and Mark in Yorktown for a quick shoot. They were really fun to work with because besides being hilarious, they both had tons of great ideas on locations and shots. Totally made my life easy :) Jerri brought along some bubbles she wanted to incorporate into the shoot, and we played around with some moustaches on a stick I made for another shoot. Hope you enjoy these pics!

Jerri and Mark: I had a blast working with you guys :)
